1. What is Glory Days Sports?

Glory Days Sports is a Sport and Social Club that offers adults various sports leagues and tournaments to participate in. GDS also offers “Happy Hour Specials” after each game at participating local bars and Huge Social Events throughout the year.

 

2. Can anyone join Glory Days Sports leagues, tournaments, or social events?

If you are 18 years of age or older, you can play in most Glory Days Sports League and Tournaments (some leagues may have other age restrictions). To participate in the Happy Hours and Social Events, you must be 21 years of age or older.

 

3. How can I register?

You can register online, by mail, or in person. Please sign up and create a username and password. Use Connect with Facebook for the full experience.

 

4. Is there a deadline to register?

All Leagues, Tournaments, and Social Events have a registration deadline. This date can be found on the programs website page. No registrations will be accepted beyond that date.

 

5. Can you save my spot?

GDS cannot save spots for Free Agents or Teams. Leagues typically sell out and a first registered, first saved basis is our policy. If you register a team and choose to have each player pay their own portion, your team spot will be saved once half of your team is paid. If your team is not paid at least halfway, another team could get the final spot.

 

6. Are payment transactions secure?

All payment transactions are secured by Authorize.net.  The Glory Days Sports website is 100% Secured through LeagueApps . LeagueApps uses the highest level of SSL Authentication and does not store any of your members' credit card information.

7. What happens when I click on “Connect with Facebook”?

When you Connect with Facebook, your Glory Days Sports account links with your Facebook account. GDS encourages this to allow you to quickly signup and login to your Glory Days Sports account using your Facebook credentials. Thus, you can utilize your Facebook identity on the Glory Days Sports site and get more social with your teammates and fellow participants. Glory Days Sports cannot individually view your Facebook account.

 

8. Does Glory Days Sports share my personal information?

Glory Days Sports will never share any of your personal information, including but not limited to, your email address, physical address, telephone numbers, etc. Your privacy is very important to us.

 

9. What is the refund policy?

Glory Days Sports will only offer a Team refund prior to the schedule being created. GDS will only offer a Free Agent refund prior to you being placed on a team. Refunds for any other reason cannot be given as league dependency is based solely on the number of participants registered.

 

10. What credit cards do you accept?

All major credit cards are accepted on the Glory Days Sports website except American Express.

 

11. Are referee/umpire fees included in the registration fee?

Referee/Umpire fees are not included in your registration fee. Each league has listed a specific referee/umpire fee that is to be paid prior to each game.

 

12. Can I play in more than one league in a season?

You sure can! Glory Days Sports cannot be responsible for creating schedules that do not conflict with your leagues though. Please use care when picking which GDS Leagues to play in during the same season.

 

13. Are there ranging levels of play in each league?

Leagues will be listed in three levels of competition of Advanced (high skill level), Competitive (mix between skills and fun), and Recreational (having fun is most important).

 

14. Can I still register if I do not have a Team to play on?

You can register without a Team. You would be considered a Free Agent. GDS will find a team for you or create a team of Free Agents for you to play with. This is the greatest way to meet new friends!

 

15. Can I be on the same Free Agent team as my friend?

Yes, you can be on the same team as friend. When registering as a Free Agent please place this request in the “Special Requests” portion of your registration.

 

16. When can I expect to hear what team I am on?

Free Agent placement will not take place until 2 weeks prior to the start of the season. You will be sent an email introducing you to the rest of your team.

 

17. Do we have practices too?

Practices are not scheduled by Glory Days Sports. You are more than welcome to organize a practice with your team at a public field that is not in use.

 

18. I am going to be the Team Captain, what do I need to know?

Team Captains have 2 options when making payment online: 1. Pay the entire balance at the time of registration. 2. Enter the number of Team Players when prompted. The balance will be divided evenly among the Team Players. You (The Captain) pay your portion at this time. You then “Add a Player” to your team’s roster by listing names and email addresses. Your players will receive an email invite to join your team. When they log in, they will be prompted to register and make payment for their portion. Captains can log in to check on their team’s status at any time (to see if players have paid or checked the box of the waiver). Please make sure all players check the waiver box or they will not be allowed to enter the field of play. Your team spot will not be saved until your team pays at least half of the registration fee.

 

19. What if my Team Players don’t register on time?

If your players do not pay by registration end, the team balance unpaid will then be accessed back to the Team Captain account. It will then be up to the Team Captain to collect the balance and remit payment to Glory Days Sports. Players will still need to sign a waiver or check the box online.

 

20. Are there any special discounts for being a great GDS Member?

There are special discounts for you on the GDS Members page. Please use the coupon code when registering. If you use a code that does not apply to you, you will forfeit your right to use coupons in the future. No two coupons or special promotions can be combined.

 

21. When will we receive our T-Shirts?

Teams will typically receive their Team T-Shirts at their first game. On occasion, GDS will have Team T-Shirts at a Captain’s Meeting.

 

22. When will the schedule be posted to the website?

The schedule will be posted to the website no sooner than one week prior to the start of the given league.

 

23. When and how will we know if a game is cancelled for inclement weather?

When a game is cancelled for any reason, all Captain’s will receive a text message from GDS. It is up to the Team Captains to physically contact your individual players. GDS will also update our Facebook Page and Twitter account. The last Twitter message can also be found on our website in the announcements box. Social Media helps team players find out prior to the Captain’s call.

 

24. Our team can’t make the game, can I get our game rescheduled?

Please have your entire team review the schedule for major conflicts when it is released at the begining of the season.  If a date is found that your team will not be able to field enough players, please contact GDS immediately.  Rescheduling games is the most dynamic part of organizing leagues and to make this run smoothly for everyone, we need full cooperation.

 

25. Does Glory Days Sports provide refunds?

Glory Days Sports does provide a refund in most cases. Please review our REFUND POLICY for more details.
