Weekly Star Player: Joyce Phillips

What South Jersey town do you live in? I live in Mount Laurel.
What are your typical days like, before any GDS games begin? Well, I have three kids so my days revolve around them and their school/activities schedule. I am working on illustrating a book at the moment so whenever I get some free time during the day, I am usually drawing or painting.
How did you first get involved with Glory Days Sports? Julie Gabriel, a high school teammate of mine, asked me if Iwanted to play field hockey. Her friend, Melissa Franke, was putting a team together and they needed players. I was seriously nervous because I hadn't played in YEARS but was excited to get back into the game.
What is your favorite league to play in? That's a really tough question! I play both indoor and outdoor field hockey and just recently started playing flag football. They are all awesome and so much fun. My heart belongs to field hockey, though. If I had to pick one, I'd say indoor field hockey.
Have you had an awesome team name you would like to share? Any story behind it? Last spring we were the Cougars. It was a playful nod to the fact that some of us on the team were a little more advanced in our years!
Have you attended any memorable GDS Social Events? Yes! The GDS Halloween party at PJs. It was a lot of fun!
Thanks Joyce!
